Development Center |
| At the Technical Development
Center (TDC), we customize fiber-reinforcements (Kevlar™,
Carbon, Glass, Steel) in engineering plastics to get material
performance superior to metal alloys. Our facility is designed
for customized Corporate R&D. It houses four injection molding
machines, our proprietary Pushtrusion® units, and compression
molding for our new Direct Glass Mat Thermoplastics technology
(no sheet). |

| Brian Ness
- PlastiComp Representative, Military Market |
PlastiComp LLC is
pleased to introduce its new Sales Representative, Brian Ness.
Brian joined PlastiComp in 2007 to focus on the military sector.
He brings his in-depth experience in developing applications
for high-strength PlastiComp composites.
Brian’s knowledge of the military market stems from extensive
training and experience. He served as an active-duty infantry
medic in Iraq, Bosnia, and Kosovo and is currently a Staff Sergeant
in the Minnesota National Guard. Brian combines his hands-on
field gear experience with his academic background from Bemidji
State University that focused on the science of emerging technology
platforms.
Brian is instrumental in engineering designs of hardware critical
to soldier safety. The designs are built on leveraging the high
specific strengths and light-weight characteristics of PlastiComp
composites when replacing metals. “Our thermoplastic
technology can offer significant improvements in military products
that traditionally incorporated metal into their designs,”
said Brian. “I enjoy innovating with customers and consulting
with military personnel to produce stronger, lighter and all
weather equipment for today’s fast paced military. As
a result, PlastiComp is rapidly growing its applications portfolio
in this area.”
Brian is currently based in Bemidji and supports PlastiComp
customers in the great North Country. He is continuing his studies
in technology education and emerging technology platforms. To
contact Brian, call 507-250-4705 or email brian.ness@plasticomp.com.
